Entries for the 2022 New Zealand Secondary School Weightlifting Championships are now open. This year the event will be hosted by Pac Gym (Porirua Barbell Club) and held in Porirua for the first time, on September 3 and 4.

Please see attached entry information, and visit https://liftleader.co.nz/events/46 to enter. One team registration (doubles as school approval of entry) is also required per school- this must be submitted to sport@weightlifting.nz by the close of entries (9 August).

The is open to all New Zealand Secondary School students. Athletes are strongly encouraged to have participated in at least a club level competition ahead of the event, however this is not an eligiblity requirement.

Athletes will compete for their schools, and all athletes and attending coaches must also be members of Weightlifting New Zealand and an affiliated club.
